We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Part-Time Political Fundraising Assistant to join our dynamic political campaign team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our fundraising efforts, helping to secure the financial resources needed to support our campaign’s mission and goals. Your responsibilities will include donor outreach, event coordination, and administrative support for the fundraising team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Donor Outreach:
- Contact donors via phone, email, and in-person meetings to solicit contributions.
- Maintain donor databases and updated donor records.
- Assist with donor appreciation activities, such as thank-you letters and acknowledgments.
- Manage the candidate call time and maintain accurate record of results.
- Event Coordination:
- Help plan and coordinate fundraising events, including virtual events and in-person gatherings.
- Assist in event logistics, such as venue selection, catering, and guest management.
- Provide on-site support during fundraising events.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with the creation and distribution of fundraising materials, including brochures and newsletters.
- Prepare and maintain reports on fundraising progress and financial records.
- Provide general administrative support to the fundraising team as needed.
- Data Management:
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities, voter interactions, and campaign data.
- Utilize campaign databases and technology for voter targeting and reporting.
Qualifications:
- A strong commitment to the campaign’s goals and values.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor database software.
- Experience in fundraising, sales, or customer relations is a plus.
- Knowledge of campaign finance laws and regulations is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for fundraising events.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for in-person donor outreach.
Time Commitment: This is a part-time position, with an expected commitment of 15-20 hours per week. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate your availability.

About the Campaign: Our Democratic Congressional Primary Campaign is seeking a motivated and passionate Field Organizer to join our dynamic team. We are committed to building a more inclusive, progressive, and equitable future for our community and are looking for an organizer who shares our values and is dedicated to grassroots campaigning.
Job Overview: The Field Organizer will play a crucial role in executing our campaign’s ground game strategy. They will be responsible for recruiting, training, and mobilizing volunteers, as well as engaging directly with voters to build support for our candidate in the upcoming primary election. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about politics, community organizing, and making a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Volunteer Recruitment and Management:
- Identify, recruit, and onboard volunteers from the local community.
- Train volunteers on campaign messaging, canvassing techniques, phone banking, and other campaign activities.
- Supervise and provide ongoing support to volunteers, ensuring they meet their goals and targets.
- Canvassing and Voter Outreach:
- Lead canvassing and door-knocking efforts to engage with voters in the district.
- Coordinate phone banking campaigns to reach potential supporters.
- Collect data on voter preferences and concerns to inform campaign strategy.
- Event Planning and Execution:
- Organize and coordinate campaign events, town halls, and community meetings.
- Mobilize supporters to attend campaign events and rallies.
- Ensure events run smoothly and effectively.

- Community Outreach:
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, local leaders, and key stakeholders.
- Represent the campaign at community events and meetings.
- Identify opportunities for the campaign to address community concerns and issues.
- Data Management:
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities, voter interactions, and campaign data.
- Utilize campaign databases and technology for voter targeting and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in political science, public administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Previous experience in political campaigns, community organizing, or grassroots advocacy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for Democratic values and progressive policies.
- Knowledge of local issues and the political landscape in the district.
- Familiarity with campaign tools and technology (e.g., VAN, MiniVAN, NGP VAN) is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel within the district.
Compensation: $4,200 a month as an independent contractor.
