ADDISON, TXState Representative Julie Johnson, a frontrunner in the race for Texas Congressional District 32, is proud to announce a series of significant endorsements in support of her campaign, which launched 10 days prior to the June 30th reporting deadline. In addition to earning overwhelming support from the local community, Johnson will report over $410,000 in campaign funds raised in the first days of her campaign

Johnson’s campaign has gained significant momentum in recent days, buoyed by a growing groundswell of support from community members, volunteers, and organizations who recognize the urgency of electing an experienced representative who will champion their interests at the national level.

About Julie

Since 2019, Julie has served in the Texas House after defeating the author of the Texas “Bathroom Bill” by double digits. As a legislator, she has earned a reputation for being a staunch defender of those who have been kicked around and pushed aside. Julie has passed bills to ensure life-saving drugs for Texans aren’t held up by prior-authorization requirements. She protected victims of sexual assault by demanding transparency about repeat offenders from state boards. She ensured that survivors of Dallas first responders who die in the line of duty have full access to benefits. Julie also helped maintain funding for Parkland Health System. As the Vice Chair of the Texas Women’s Health Caucus, Julie has been on the front lines in the fight for reproductive rights .

As a Texas educated attorney, Julie fought into the courtroom at a time when women weren’t being hired to litigate cases. She has defended workers’ rights, stood up for the mentally disabled, and helped students who were taken advantage of by for-profit colleges.

Julie lives in Farmers Branch with her wife, Susan Moster, a practicing Gastroenterologist in Fort Worth. They have two sons, Nicholas and Ben.
